Gualala is an unincorporated community within Mendocino County in the U.S. state of California. These are placed on a coastline at the mouth of the Gualala River, on Highway 1. It serves as a commercial center for the circumferent vicinity. Gualalthe was it used to be that a logging town, but tourism is now its central economic activity.
Gualalthe was number one established per construction of a hotel, saloon and a lumber mill in the 1860s. Logging a local redwood trees became especially profitable after a 1906 San Francisco earthquake, when brobdingnagian numbers of lumber were required to rebuild a city.
